Visual artist based in Dublin, Ireland.

Elizabeth O’Shaughnessy is an Irish photographic artist based in Dublin. She recently completed the MFA, Photography at Ulster University. She is a graduate of the B.A. in Photographic Media from Griffith College Dublin, having completed a Certificate in Photography & Digital Imaging from the National College of Art and Design (NCAD) in 2019. In 2021, she was nominated for News Photographer of the Year at the Student Media Awards. She has been nominated for the RADAR New Graduate Residency programme (2022 and 2025), Photo Museum Ireland Emerging Artists Awards (2022), and was longlisted for the RDS Visual Arts Awards (2022). Elizabeth’s work is held in the archive of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (RCPI).

Elizabeth’s work addresses the impact of Ireland’s historical and political issues on women’s lives. Her artistic practice explores themes of gender, memory, and the production of history.
